The list of best-selling albums in Europe in 2006 was first published in Billboard magazine (December 23, 2006). Sales figures are based on the Billboard European Top 100 Albums chart, compiled from national sales charts in 18 European countries: United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Portugal, Hungary, Grecce, Czech Republic. The most successful album of 2006 was Back To Bedlam by James Blunt with sales over 2 million copies.
